A modern townhouse reworked to bring clarity, cohesion, and warmth to a previously disjointed developer renovation. The layout is restructured to introduce a more intentional flow, creating moments of separation within an open plan. All interior finishes are redefined—from material selections to hardware and custom millwork—establishing a consistent architectural language throughout. A restrained palette of oak, stone, and Venetian plaster anchors the interiors, resulting in a home that feels calm, resolved, and quietly expressive, designed to support everyday living with precision and ease.

A newly defined foyer introduces a sense of arrival, carving out a moment of pause before opening into the main living spaces. Clean lines and a restrained material palette set the tone for the home’s more cohesive architectural language.

The first floor is restructured to establish a clear sense of arrival and a more intentional sequence of spaces. A newly defined foyer introduces separation from the main living areas, setting the tone for a layout that feels both open and distinctly articulated.

The dining area balances warmth and contrast, centered around an oak table and sculptural seating. Metal detailing introduces structure, while a floating bookcase adds a sense of lightness. Full-height drapery draws the eye upward, creating a subtle verticality that brings presence and softness to the space.

At the center of the plan, the kitchen is reworked as a composed, material-driven volume. Two-tone cabinetry frames a core of oak millwork, while a re-clad island and Venetian plaster hood soften the geometry, creating a space that feels both structured and understated.

A modern townhouse reimagined through materiality and spatial definition.

The living room settles into a more intimate scale, defined by a newly introduced partition that brings proportion and focus. A curved stone fireplace anchors the space, layered with travertine stone, hidden storage and floating oak shelving, while Venetian plaster walls diffuse light and add warmth.

Layered textures and warm neutrals—stone, textile, and upholstery—come together to create depth, softness, and a cohesive material language.

Wrapped in Venetian plaster, the primary bedroom takes on a soft, continuous quality. Oak doors introduce warmth against the restrained palette, while a custom bed with integrated nightstands anchors the space. A mix of walnut and burled wood pieces adds depth and variation, set against a backdrop of wall-to-wall drapery that brings a sense of calm and cohesion.

The bathroom departs from its original white-box condition with a more tactile palette of stone, zellige, and marble. A checkered Carrara marble and limestone floor adds movement, grounded by oak millwork and Venetian plastered walls, while zellige tile brings texture and luminosity.

The media room is conceived as a more immersive, enveloping space, anchored by a custom arched bookcase with floating oak shelves and brass detailing. Walls in deep green Venetian plaster create a rich backdrop, bringing depth and a sense of intimacy to the room.
