My Home Design
It all began with a personal home renovation in the heart of Brooklyn. As a mother with two young kids, I understood firsthand the challenges of balancing style with functionality. I wanted an inviting and practical space for my entire family, a sanctuary that could adapt to our changing needs throughout the years. That’s when I discovered the power of warm, minimalistic modern design—a timeless style that minimized clutter and made everyday life easier. It was during this transformative process that my passion for design was reignited, and I realized the immense joy and fulfillment it brought me.

With a background in advertising and tech as a founder and creative director for over ten years, my design journey was not linear. After studying photography and design in school, my love for interior design flourished while building our house in Brooklyn. Every decision, every detail became an opportunity for creativity and self-expression. As I meticulously planned and managed the project, my detail-oriented, problem-solving, and project-management skills came to the forefront. I fell deeper in love with the design process. It became more than just a job or a hobby; it consumed me. I would lay awake at night, my mind brimming with possibilities and ideas. This burning passion and relentless drive are what fueled the birth of Atelier Roux.
Today, Atelier Roux represents the culmination of my journey—a studio dedicated to crafting spaces that beautifully merge form and function.
